Video – British PM Savaged at EU Conference – ‘The Devalued Prime Minister Of a Devalued Country’

We want our Agmates to know what is really going on in the world. Most of the time it is not what we are spun by our mainstream media.

Next week Prime Minister Kevin Rudd heads off to the G-20 meeting in ‘lock-step’ with US president Barack Obama. There they will join British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Our media is trying to convince us that the strategy that the USA, Australia and Great Britain are pursuing is working. That strategy is:

.

“spend your way out of recession and borrow your way out of debt.”

.

Below is British MEP Daniel Hannan addressing an EU meeting two days ago. By the looks of this video the EU thinks about as much of the Obama, Rudd, Brown plan as we do.

.

Wow -- Don’t be so diplomatic Daniel, tell us what you really think.

Rudd & Obama’s meeting in the USA yesterday was hailed as a ‘meeting of the minds’. Note, it did not say ‘great minds’.

Have your say!

  1. The trick  ABC and SBS news does on us is on a number  of issues  they only  state half truths and leave a lot out that doesn’t suit them  but  many  people fall for it hook, line and sinker.  One day they will wake up I hope.

  2. He was good but he is just going after the puppet  ”fall man” Brown  – until there is a call for massive reform of the IMF, World Bank, Federal Reserve. the WTO free trade  etc the rot will continue and many people  here and around the world will be upset when they default on their mortages and lose their homes and land.    You would reckon that our countries would save a lot of   money by stopping the illegal wars but saving money is not the way  apparently – and so the stupid thinking goes on  we  spend , spend , spend

  3. G’day all,

Re my comments in the article above:

Our media is trying to convince us that the strategy that the USA, Australia and Great Britain are pursuing is working.

I note that the ABC & SBS news tonight did not mention Daniels verbal attach. They did mention that there was resistance to the stimulus / debt push by the USA, Australia & Britain and even showed the president of the EU saying that the plan was a ‘road to hell’ but nothing on Daniels speech.

There is no doubt in my mind that we Agmates are more aware of what is actually going on in the world than the general public. Well that’s my belief.

  4. G’day Ray,

Mate well said. I cannot think of one politician in Australia who is as good an orator as Daniel Hannan. Very Impressive, being able to give Gordon Brown and absolute verbal bollocking without being abusive.

    That is an incredible skill.

  5. Now THERE is a politician I could get to like!

No forked tongue, he’s happy to brandish AND USE the pitchfork openly!  My kinda guy!   Perhaps we could work with Barnaby to school him up to that level of appropriately expressed contempt and vitriole, whilst remaining 100% polite and focussed, and receiving applause for his efforts!

Wonder if he’s open to a 10 quid ticket to Australia, like they did back in the 60′s!  His is a skill we sorely need here!

  6. KEVIN RUDD: Now this war as evidenced by introduction is increasingly unpopular; that’s just the truth of it.

JIM LEHRER: In you own, in your country?

KEVIN RUDD: In Australia, I’m sure in Europe and I would imagine the United States. I’ve not seen polling here on it. But the bottom line is this: It’s the right place to be.

When you think about Afghanistan, think about this. I cannot remove from my mind the image of the twin towers coming down. We are there because terrorists, operating out of the safe haven of Afghanistan, caused that to happen. They also, having been trained in Afghanistan, were responsible for murdering nearly a hundred Australians in Bali a year
    later.

We have therefore a combined responsibility to do whatever we can to make sure Afghanistan does not become a safe haven for terrorism again. It’s going to be tough, it’s going to be hard, and it’s going to be difficult and dangerous.

  7. Yes Jeff I have noticed that with Rudd but as Guest said it all is an acting show between the 2 main parties - the party  system makes them  carry on like this.

we do what we dont say
we dont do what we say
we dont say what we do
we say what we dont do

Rudd just said on the World Today - ’ The war is losing popularity at home  but  it is the place to be – The bottom line is I can’t get the twin towers out of my mind and Bali . The terrorists were trained at training camps in Afganistan so we have to stay in this fight against terrorism’

  8. Watch our PM at question time, when asked a question he doesn’t want to answer. Either writes while the speech is going on, or turns and faces the other way.
Probably the way they handle the speech, and so they don’t look like buffoons. But it is bad mannered.

  9. I wonder why Brown was smiling and writing while he was being attacked?

  10. Wow,
Wonder how long it would take to clone Daniel Hannan and instill him in our parliamentary system.

Would make a challenge to PM Rudd’s “for what it’s worth”  and “now let me say this” while waving his hands around like a demented clergyman making an edict from the pulpit, – while saying nothing.
