Ashley Coleman and his wife Carol purchased The Professionals in 1999 after moving from North Queensland. They previously had grazing interests in the Charters Towers area where they operated the largest (in numbers) Droughtmaster Cattle Stud in Queensland. Ashley spent 21 years as a Councillor on Dalrymple Shire Council as well, he retired from local government in 1997. (Dalrymple Shire is slightly bigger than Tasmania). They made the decision to make Real Estate their career after they moved south and The Professionals was offered to them in late 1998. Ashley has a vast knowledge of the rural industry generally, previously being involved in it for almost forty years. For some time until they sold their property, Ashley and Carol conducted their own bull sale in Charters Towers for a number of years and the Glen Houghton stud was one of the original nineteen studs who founded the Droughtmaster breed of cattle. Apart from overseeing the whole of the business, Ashley along with Lex Townsend, concentrates on the rural side of things and offers to both buyers and sellers outstanding knowledge of the rural sector..........
