Ashley Coleman and his wife Carol purchased The Professionals in 1999 after moving from North Queensland. They previously had grazing interests in the Charters Towers area where they operated the largest (in numbers) Droughtmaster Cattle Stud in Queensland. Ashley spent 21 years as a Councillor on Dalrymple Shire Council as well, he retired from local government in 1997. (Dalrymple Shire is slightly bigger than Tasmania). They made the decision to make Real Estate their career after they moved south and The Professionals was offered to them in late 1998.
