The Global Lamb Chop Rescue Package – Sam Kekovich

See it first on Agmates. The MLA’s annual Sam Kekovich Australia Day Lamb TV ads due to start screening on Australia TV this Sunday.

This is hilarious and a great promotion. Well done MLA.

In his much anticipated Australia Day address to the nation Sam empties both barrels at the unAustralian behaviour of “bottom feeding, billionaire bankers”.

“We need to return to the egalitarian values that made Australia great, embodied in our national dish: the barbecued lamb chop,” Sam says.

Thousands Of Years Of Conflict.

The bombing of the Gaza Strip by Israel is all the news at present. I however have no opinion on the situation except that innocent civilians are dying whilst Hamas and Israel continue their ideological  struggle.

This is a hot bed issue. The Muslims and the Jews have been at each other for centuries. It is not something I will be commenting on.

If you are interested in following the topic Syd Walker has done a great series of posts over at his blog. You can read along and get involved in the debate over there.

Here is a video from the Israeli military’s YouTube Channel showing footage of air strikes on Hamas militants. A spokesperson for the Israel Military said they have set up the Channel and posted about 10 videos to bring their side of the story to the world.

This black & white video was shot 4 days ago of an Israeli Air Force Strike on Hamas Rockets in Transit 28 Dec. 2008

No Money But a Thriving Community – Video Of The Day.

How does a community prosper when it has no money? This fascinating film shows exactly how?

The population of an impoverished part of Brazil just invented their own money, with support from local banks. It has enabled them to trade and thrive. The results are incredible..

So you’d have to ask -- just what is money?

Shoe Attack On George Bush – Video of the day

Video of Iraqi Reporter throwing his shoes at the US president George Bush during a press conference.

Importantly  it shows that Iraq as a country has come a long way. If the guy had thrown the shoes at Saddam Hussien, we would never have heard of it and he’d be dead. Secondly, as least it was a shoe and not a bomb.

On the video Bush speaks about these kinds of protests in a free democracy. I like when he says you drive down the street and people wave, but you don’t see all 5 fingers.

Everything is a Sign to Those That Believe – Video of the day.

The farce of QLD Premier Anna Bligh and others blaming this weeks wild Brisbane topical storms on global warming reminds me of one of the funniest scenes from Monty Pythons ‘Life of Brian‘.

To the Global warming brigade, wetter, dryer, colder, hotter weather, it matters not what it is -- it’s all a sign.

Watch Brian trying to convince the mob that he’s not the messiah. Everything is a sign if you want to believe.

Have a laugh.

You don’t have to be a body language expert to work out whats going on between Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and US President George Bush.

Kevin is a foolish little man.

USA Election – I have a Dream Today – Video of the day.

The US presidential Election is today.

45 Years ago in August 1963 -- Martin Luther King Jr delivered his “I have a dream’ speech.

Will today be the day? Here is the original recording of that famous speech that changed the world.

.

Update: 9.30am Thursday 5th November 2008

Barack Obama was just 2 years old when Martin Luther made that speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

In my lifetime, 45 Years, 2 months and 7 days after that speech, I’ve seen America progress from the time of segregation to it’s people electing it’s first African-American President.

What an incredible democracy the United States of America is.

The Race That Stops a Nation – The Emerates Melbourne Cup

Only one sleep to go till the race that stops Australia. Like a lot of Australian’s it is the only race I have a bet (crazy because it’s the toughest race of the year to pick a winner).

My humble wager is going on No18 Profound Beauty to be ridden by Glen Boss.

Heres a clip of the 2007 Cup to put you in the mood or if your outside of Australia,so you can see what literally will at 2pm Eastern daylight Savings Time tomorrow, stop the whole nation of Australia.
