I was very interested to read that the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is now campaigning to accredit beef producers in the major beef producing countries. (Agmates 10th June, Foxes in Charge of the Hen House)

Beef producers in those countries should be aware of who they are dealing with here.

World Wildlife Fund is the largest conservation organization in the world. WWF works in 100 countries on more than 2,000 conservation programs. WWF has 1.2 million members in the United States and nearly 5 million supporters worldwide and employs over 4,000 staff.

Revenue $162,536,877.00 – Expenses $130,811,748.00 – Net assets $221,290,334.00

Yes they are huge, well resourced and extremely well funded. Anyone who takes WFF lightly is very foolish.

History.

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) was formed, Sept. 11, 1961 (another bloody 9/11 coincidence?) in Morges, Switzerland by Sir Julian Huxley.

Julian Huxley, was also the British Eugenics Society president from 1954-1962.

[E]ven though it is quite true that any radical eugenic policy will be for many years politically and psychologically impossible, it will be important for UNESCO to see that the eugenic problem is examined with the greatest care, and that the public mind is informed of the issues at stake so that much that now is unthinkable may at least become thinkable. –Julian Huxley

The radical eugenics policy Huxley hoped would become thinkable was -

Nazi abuses, such as enforced racial hygiene, human experimentation, and the extermination of “undesired” population groups.

WWF’s first president was Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands 1962-1976.

He was forced to resign in late 1976 as a result of the Lockheed Scandal.

Scandal rocked the Royal Family in 1976 when it was revealed that Prince Bernhard had accepted a US$1.1 million bribe from U.S. aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Corporation to influence the Dutch government’s purchase of fighter aircraft.

Later it was also revealed:

In 1988, Prince Bernhard and Princess Juliana sold two paintings from their personal collection to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund. The paintings sold for GBP700 000, which was deposited in a Swiss WWF bank account. In 1989, however, Charles de Haes, director-general of the WWF, transferred GBP500 000 back to Bernhard, for what De Haes called a private project. In 1991, newspapers reported what this private project was: Prince Bernhard had hired mercenaries – mostly British – to fight against poachers in nature reserves.

In 1995, Nelson Mandela called upon the Kumleben Commission to investigate, among other things, the role of the WWF in apartheid South Africa. In the report that followed, it was suggested that mercenaries from Project Lock had planned assassinations of ANC members and that mercenaries had been running training camps in the wildlife reserves, training fighters from the anti-communist groups UNITA and Renamo.

He was succeeded in 1976 by John Loudon till 1981. Loudon was the  former CEO of Royal Dutch Shell, and chairman of Shell Oil Co.

Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh served as president from 1981 to 1996.

Prince Philip emerges in a television interview this week as the model royal “eco-warrior” who believes overpopulation has contributed to the pressures on the world and that anyone who believes in God should go green.

The duke hints that curbing family sizes may be the best means of keeping the soaring cost of staple food products, such as bread and rice, in check.

The WWF office in Washington , D.C. adjoined the Conservation Foundation, whose new president in 1961 was William K. Reilly, a protege of the genocidal environmentalists Russell Train and Maurice Strong.

Remember some of my raves a while back on WWF – and The Nature Conservancy and connection to our Federal Government?

Firstly the link between the two.

Amongst that article, you will see Stanford University. This hall of learning also appears to be the think tank for climate change of the fanatic kind and eugenics – population reduction.

People such as:-
Paul and Anne Ehrlich – one of their books “The Population Bomb” on how the Earth cannot support the population (written in the ’70’s). They reckoned the US could not support 150 million – it is now around 300 million.

John Holdren – now POTUS Obama’s science advisor – collaborated with the Ehrlichs in writing their books and various papers. He is now carrying the alarmist Climate Change banner. He has also spoken recently on population reduction.

Stephen Schneider - promoted the Global Cooling scare in the ’70’s, also a close friend of Paul and Anne Ehrlich. Now right into the current Climate Change and Emissions Trading. Schneider has refused public debate on climate change just recently.

Now the next link between the above WWF , TNC and Australia’s Department of Environment (Sen Peter Garrett’s portfolio.). See the pretty Government letterhead. The TNC has been described as a “realestater” by some in the US. They have an on going series of projects in the US to remove people and farms from large areas of the western US, to convert it to wilderness. eg The Wildlands Project and the Y2Y project (Yellowstone to Yukon).

Also the UN’s Dr Rajendra K. Pachauri on going vegetarian to save the planet, and further down Dr James Hansen of NASA’s GISS on climate change, reducing carbon – all the usual alarmist rhetoric – but he has been an adviser to Kevin Rudd and  Penny  Wrong.

Scary part of all this is that there is 1,555,000 pages available on a Google search, some of it about the Cult of Supreme Master. This series of programs is broadcast around the world on satellite, internet TV and cable where applicable.

Just a little bit of history and information from my files, to show who and what you are dealing with.

As the head of NASA’s programs for 12 years (1982-1994) Dr John Theon was was responsible for all weather and climate research in the entire agency, including the research work by James Hansen, Roy Spencer, Joanne Simpson, and several hundred other scientists at NASA field centers, in academia, and in the private sector who worked on climate research.

In January this year Dr Theon has finally spoken out about the useless nature of climate modelling, the manipulation of the data by James Hanson and others in the agency for political means.

“My own belief concerning anthropogenic climate change is that the models do not realistically simulate the climate system because there are many very important sub-grid scale processes that the models either replicate poorly or completely omit.

Furthermore, some scientists have manipulated the observed data to justify their model results. In doing so, they neither explain what they have modified in the observations, nor explain how they did it.

In just November last year Dr Hansen was embarrassingly caught out adjusting the global temperatures upwardly.

Dr Theon goes onto say:

“They have resisted making their work transparent so that it can be replicated independently by other scientists. This is clearly contrary to how science should be done.

Thus there is no rational justification for using climate model forecasts to determine public policy.”

Incredible. The whole need to act on ‘man made global warming’ expressed by governments around the world is based on the predictions of this computer modelling.

Dr Theon has exposed the whole Dr James Hansen / Al Gore global warming hysteria as possibly the greatest con trick ever played upon mankind. Once again I’m reminded of our Emperor Kevin Rudd and his New Cloths.

I published a column yesterday about NASA scientist and Global Warming high priest James Hansen saying that new US president Barack Obama had just 4 years to same the world from ‘runaway global warming’.

I asked Agmates blogger MattB if he could come up with the physical evidence of  Hansen’s quoted ‘runaway global warming’ and got no response. That’s because even while climate doomsayers lead by Hansen are getting more and more hysterical this is what is happening.

• The earth’s temperature peaked in 1998. It’s been falling ever since; it dropped dramatically in 2007 and got worse in 2008, when temperatures touched 1980 levels.

• Meanwhile, the University of Illinois’ Arctic Climate Research Center released conclusive satellite photos showing that Arctic ice is back to 1979 levels. What’s more, measurements of Antarctic ice now show that its accumulation is up 5 percent since 1980.

• In other words, during what was supposed to be massive global warming, the biggest chunks of ice on earth grew larger. Just as an aside, do you remember when the hole in the ozone layer was going to melt Antarctica? But don’t worry, we’re safe now, that was the nineties.

• Dr. Kunihiko, Chancellor of Japan’s Institute of Science and Technology said this: “CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or the other … every scientist knows this, but it doesn’t pay to say so.” Now why would a learned man say such a crazy thing?

• a massive study, just released by the Russian Government, contains overwhelming evidence that earth is on the verge of another Ice Age. Based on core samples from Russia’s Vostok Station in Antarctica, we now know earth’s atmosphere and temperature for the last 420,000 years. This evidence suggests that the 12,000 years of warmth we call the Holocene period is over.

• Apparently, we’re headed into an ice age of about 100,000 years — give or take. As for CO2 levels, core samples show conclusively they follow the earth’s temperature rise, not lead it.

How many years of the earth cooling, while CO2 levels rise will it take (we have had a decade now) before Kevin Rudd can work out that man-made global warming is a complete myth?

Unfortunately for PM Rudd this scam is unraveling before his eyes. But all he can see is the billion dollar tax revenues that his carbon tax will raise.

President Has 4 Years To Save Earth

Barack Obama has only four years to save the world. That is the stark assessment of Nasa scientist and leading climate expert Jim Hansen who last week warned only urgent action by the new president could halt the devastating climate change that now threatens Earth. Crucially, that action will have to be taken within Obama’s first administration, he added.

Soaring carbon emissions are already causing ice-cap melting and threaten to trigger global flooding, widespread species loss and major disruptions of weather patterns in the near future. “We cannot afford to put off change any longer,” said Hansen. “We have to get on a new path within this new administration. We have only four years left for Obama to set an example to the rest of the world. America must take the lead.”

However, Hansen said feedbacks in the climate system are already accelerating ice melt and are threatening to lead to the collapse of ice sheets. Sea-level rises will therefore be far greater – a claim backed last week by a group of British, Danish and Finnish scientists who said studies of past variations in climate indicate that a far more likely figure for sea-level rise will be about 1.4 metres, enough to cause devastating flooding of many of the world’s major cities and of low-lying areas of Holland, Bangladesh and other nations.

Time will tell ifs it me or Hansen who’s barking mad – just 4 years in fact. I’m feeling pretty good. As my mum use to say,

“the whole worlds mad except thee and me, and I’m not real sure about Thee.”

Australian treasurer Wayne Swan admitted yesterday that the government does not know which companies would be covered under the ETS.

In an answer to a question on notice by Acting Opposition Leader Warren Truss, the Government reveals it does not know which 1000 companies they are.

The Rudd governments proposed ETS is a direct attack on the nations prosperity built initially on Agriculture and in  recent times on resource mining. Our proposed Emissions Trading Scheme is vastly different to anything currently in place in Europe.

• Under the white paper approach, about 70 per cent of permits will be auctioned. No comparable scheme anywhere in the world has auctioned more than 2 or 3 per cent of its permits.
• Between 2010 and 2014, the carbon costs faced by an average Australian company will be 18 times higher than those of a counterpart in the European Union.
• Australian companies classified as EITE will be required to buy between 10 and 40 per cent of their permits from July 1, 2010.
• Their European counterparts will not be required to spend a single euro on their permits before 2020. Not one single euro.
• in Europe, coalminers face no present or future carbon costs because methane – the greenhouse gas generated during the mining of coal – is not even covered by the EU ETS.
• Nearly 90 per cent of Australia’s minerals exports will be subject to the full impact of all of their permit costs.

All of this will of course make our mineral and coal mining industries uncompetitive in world markets and hence is a direct attack on our nations prosperity akin to ’self mutilation’.

Those who believe that this burden won’t harm the competitiveness of our most important export sector also believe in the tooth fairy, monkey fishing and that Elvis Presley is living in a caravan in Tumut.

“If Australia disappeared off the face of the earth, our carbon footprint would be replaced by one country, China, within three weeks,” Mr Pearson said.

This no doubt will make James Hansen happy. In an open letter Hansen has called on incoming US President Barack Obama to implement exactly the policy Australia is planning.

Hansen suggests that the tax be levied “at the well-head or port of entry” from where it “will then appropriately affect all products and activities that use fossil fuels.”

And Hansen is straightforward in what the consequences of that will be:

This tax will have “near-term, mid-term, and long-term” effects on “lifestyle choices,” Hansen acknowledges.

So while we scale back our export industries to meet Hansen’s objectives:

Britain is poised to expand its coal mining industry …. 14 companies have applied to dig nearly 60 million tonnes of coal from 58 new or enlarged opencast mines. At least six coal-fired power stations are planned. If all the applications are approved, the fastest expansion of UK coal mining in 40 years could see southern Scotland and Northumberland become two of the most heavily mined regions in Europe.

In a historical rural perspective:

In the period from, say, 1910 until the 1960s, Australia’s prosperity was based primarily on the exports of wool, wheat and meat. We used to ride on the sheep’s back.

We now ride on the dump trucks and conveyor belts which take the coal to the power stations and, of course, to the ships queuing up at the coal loaders.

If after WWII it had been seriously argued that every year, every third merino sheep should be shot, because the sheep were despoiling the environment, the protagonist would have been regarded as a lunatic.

The idiocy of a decarbonisation policy at home which is equivalent (in 1940s terms) to destroying the merino flocks, and at the same time (to come back to the 2000’s), exporting coal to the power stations of China, and India should be apparent.

The ETS is a direct tax driven attack on the prosperity of all Australian’s, but particularly rural & regional Australians. The impacts will be two fold and disastrous for Australian rural & regional communities whose survival and prosperity is reliant on farming and mining.

The emissions trading scheme will render 100’s if not thousands of Australian rural and regional communities to small towns reliant on government welfare with no income, jobs and crumbling infrastructure, not dissimilar to the many dysfunctional remote Aboriginal communities that exist in Australia today.

NASA scientist James Hansen [pictured] is at it again. This time in an open letter to US president elect Barack Obama he calls old-style coal plants “factories of death” and condemns Australia’s reliance on the resource. In the letter he writes:

“Australia exports coal and sets atmospheric carbon dioxide goals so large as to guarantee destruction of much of the life on the planet,”

Hansen’s claim defies logic as Brendan Pearson points out .

Minerals Council of Australia deputy chief executive Brendan Pearson last night dismissed Professor Hansen’s comments as “characteristically long on hyperbole and short on facts”.

“If Australia disappeared off the face of the earth, our carbon footprint would be replaced by one country, China, within three weeks,” Mr Pearson said.

“As to his claim about the targets that Australia has set, in part that’s for the Government to respond to, but in our view, a 20 per cent reduction in Australia’s emissions by 2020 would reduce global emissions by 0.2per cent.

Hansen’s letter is of course nothing more than his own personal eco fundamental lobbying. He did exactly the same thing last year when on the 27th of March he wrote an open letter to new Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. Here is part of what he wrote:

“Global climate is near critical tipping points that could lead to …. progressive, unstoppable global sea level rise, shifting of climatic zones with extermination of many animal and plant species, reduction of freshwater supplies for hundreds of millions of people, and a more intense hydrologic cycle with stronger droughts and forest fires, but also heavier rains and floods, and stronger storms driven by latent heat, including tropical storms, tornados and thunderstorms.”

Since that time temperatures world wide have continued to dip, sea levels have stopped rising, the US just completed another low activity Hurricane season, water supplies in Brisbane have gone from 19% to 46%, the drought has eased across most of Australia and on and on it goes.

How does Hansen have any credibility left with the worlds media, let alone world leaders?

People on mass across the world are starting to work out that despite the global media hype the sky is not falling.

PARIS – There is both growing public reluctance to make personal sacrifices and a distinct lack of enthusiasm for the major international efforts now underway to battle climate change, according to findings of a poll of 12,000 citizens in 11 countries, including Canada.

The 11 countries surveyed were Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Malaysia, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States. There were 2,000 respondents surveyed in China, including 1,000 in Hong Kong.

Global warming alarmist will be terribly alarmed by the slump in public support.

Less than half of those surveyed, or 47 per cent, said they were prepared to make personal lifestyle changes to reduce carbon emissions, down from 58 per cent last year.

Only 37 per cent said they were willing to spend “extra time” on the effort, an eight-point drop.

And only one in five respondents – or 20 per cent – said they’d spend extra money to reduce climate change. That’s down from 28 per cent a year ago.

As the wild computer generated predictions of catastrophic climate change produced by the IPCC and global warming alarmists, Al Gore, James Hansen and Co fail to materialize, the general public is working out that there are many real issues that truly require solution.

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is convinced the science on man made global warming is settled. In fact he’s so convinced that the science of the IPCC and NASA’s James Hansen is correct that his number 1 political priority is the introduction of an Emissions Trading Scheme by mid 2010.

The latest science shows that the IPCC’s Climate Change Modelling is grossly overstated..

Climate change may not be as severe as predicted, suggests an international study that shows current modelling of carbon dioxide emissions from soils are overestimated by as much as 20%.

The view, reported in the latest Nature Geoscience journal, is based on a study of Australian soils that finds the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) released by Australian soils is much lower than previously believed.

The finding has major implications for climate change predictions as annual carbon emissions from soils are estimated to be more than all human-made CO2 emissions combined.

The incredibly ironic thing is that one of the reports Co_Authors Dr Evelyn Krull [pictured] , is a scientist at the Australian governments own CSIRO Land and Water. Dr Krull goes on to say:

For Australia, a proportion of 20% charcoal in soils would lead to a 135 teragram (135 billion kilograms) overestimation on a continental scale.

“On an annual basis, an inflated prediction from topsoils alone equates to … 84% of CO2 emissions associated with aviation for Australia using values obtained for 2006,” the paper says.

Surprise, Surprise the research has found that climate change modelling is grossly overstated.

…this means that current scenarios predicted by climate change modeling “are making it look worse than it actually would be”.

This highlights the need for a global initiative to analyse soils worldwide for charcoal content so that modeling can be more accurate, she says.

Beautiful – the climate models are overstated. All the while Rajendra Pachauri, James Hansen, Al Gore, Tim Flannery, Don Henry , Barry Brook & Clive Hamilton of the alarmist cause try to tell us Global Warming is happening faster than the models actually predicted.

The science on man made global warming is settled. Yes right.

Professor Plimer will be speaking at the launch of the book at the Sydney Mining Club on the 6th of November if any of you are about and would like to attend.

With the Rudd Government due to launch an emissions trading regime in just 14 months time, Professor Ian Plimer will present an array of arguments that contradict the Global Warming science put forward by the IPCC, Professor James Hansen and his global spokesman Al Gore.

Some of those arguments are:

• Planet Earth has form in producing Greenhouse gases – major form – particularly from volcanic eruptions.
• The quantity of solar radiation the Sun gushes at Earth each year also varies dramatically as flares and gravitational orbit wobbles change the amount of heat we intersect.
• There are also concerns that the way we measure temperature is skewed in favour of a warming Earth.
• Against the backdrop of geological time – and our inability to distinguish any anthropogenic affects -
• Not only has the Earth endowed us with great resource wealth but also with detailed tracers of the past. The rate and amount of modern climate change is well within past variability.
• The current rate of sea level rise is low, changing sea levels is normal, sea levels can over geological time change by up to 600 metres.
• The atmospheric CO2 content at present is the lowest for millions of years. CO2 levels have been up to 25 times higher than at present yet, during the history of the planet, CO2 has not created acid oceans.
• Natural processes capture and store CO2. Planet Earth is a warm, wet greenhouse planet that has had ice for only 20% of geological time.
• Extinction of life on Earth is normal and life is most commonly stressed by cold climates.
• Temperature is buffered by the water cycle.
• Supernova eruptions, the Sun, the Earth’s orbit, tectonics and the water cycle are the primary drivers of climate.
• In the past, CO2 changes have followed temperature changes.

Against the backdrop of these scientific arguments Plimer poses the very sensible question, and one that Agmates has been asking: “Kevin Rudds $5 Billion Mug Punt”

“Why punt severe impact to Australia’s economy, and most notably the well-being of its buoyant primary producers, by volunteering the nation as a pioneer in the emissions trading concept.”
