Rain fills dams, tanks and hearts | The Age : In south-east Melbourne, Devon Meadows vegetable grower Peter Cochrane said he received 76 millimetres in two days, which had filled his dam. “It’s been brilliant. Any sort of rain at this time of year is just brilliant,” he said. “We have had good run-off, it’s allowed all the growers in the area to fill the dams. Mob of ewes stolen | Bendigo Advertiser : A TRUCKLOAD of sheep has been stolen from a property near Colbinabbin, leaving both the farmer and investigators scratching their heads. Three hundred merino ewes were taken sometime between Sunday, November 23 and Sunday, December 7. The flock is valued at about $15,000.
