One of South Australia’s Iconic sheep stations is ‘Arkaba’ Station. It runs about 7,000 sheep and is located in the picturesque Flinders ranges of South Australia just 22 kms north of Hawker.

Arkaba [picture above] was passed in at auction last Friday at $2.4 million. Marketing agent Simon McIntyre of Landmark Real Estate tells us that they are in negotiations with prospective buyers and he expects a sale of one of South Australia’s most iconic sheep stations to be finalized within the next week.
Top pastoral South Australian sheep stations are fairly tightly held. They don’t change ownership that often, and the Agmates community be very interested in the final result with Arkaba. Hopefully Simon will keep us up to date.
