RACQ membership is an essential for every car owner in Queensland.
This morning the battery died on the car. We called the RACQ and within half an hour the Gympie Action Auto Group’s RACQ road side assist truck was there.
When the young mechanic got out of the RACQ breakdown vehicle, he looked all of about 12 years of age and I thought ‘here we go’.
But I’m happy to report that this young man (B.Maloney) was a champion. Not only did he have us mobile with a new battery in no time flat, he was able to keep the power to the car connected so we did not have all of that annoying trouble of having to enter security pins etc to get the audio system to work again or work out how to reset the clock etc.
I asked him did he mind working on a Sunday and he told me know, he loves being a mechanic, fixing cars. He had just finished his apprenticeship and was doing what he loved.
The hassle of our break down was turned into a minor inconvenience and we met a delightful young man who is not only a credit to himself but to his employer.
If you live in Queensland, you’d be crazy not to be a member of RACQ. It is incredibly cheap and they give terrific service. If your not already a member, do yourself and your family a favour and call them to join today.
