Just as the Rudd Labor government announces that it was pressing ahead with its Carbon Reduction Scheme two US Scientists have released a paper that contradicts the whole man made global warming theory.
Stunningly their research is from data collected by Australia’s own CSIRO.
Boston (MA) - Scientists at MIT have recorded a nearly simultaneous world-wide increase in methane levels. This is the first increase in ten years, and what baffles science is that this data contradicts theories stating man is the primary source of increase for this greenhouse gas.
According to the Man made Global warming theory thats not supposed to happen.
One thing does seem very clear, however; science is only beginning to get a handle on the big picture of global warming. Findings like these tell us it’s too early to know for sure if man’s impact is affecting things at the political cry of “alarming rates.”
We may simply be going through another natural cycle of warmer and colder times - one that’s been observed through a scientific analysis of the Earth to be naturally occuring for hundreds of thousands of years.
It is beyond comprehension that the Rudd Labor government is planning to plunge Australia into a Carbon Constrained future while current events and science is casting doubts over whether rising CO2 levels are actually causing climate change.

I feel a lot of public opinion may hang on decisions made by the new Keys Government in New Zealand. With pressure from the ACT party, whose platform at the last election included removal of their new ETS, it should sway the NZ Nationals. There has been moves to put a stall on the new ETS legislation, in the last couple of days, so that the impact of ETS can be costed - by the new finance ministry.
If PM Kevin Rudd ignores this action across the ditch, it will be at his government’s peril. Coupled with warnings from the Australian Business Council re the impact on the business and manufacturing sector, the next election could see a change in government.
Hello Margaret,
I agree it is crazy but with the financial climate with some way to go yet, I believe, rather than return to the countryside, maybe they might all come here instead for all the govt. handouts that the ETS tax will provide while we have to foot the bill. Not happy with this I can assure you all and it is about time all Australians got off their lazy complacent backsides and started to lobby all the pollies on a whole range of issues. At the end of the day they are just public servants, elected by us, the people, to serve us, the people, not themselves and not ignore us.
Yes they are just pollies but I’m afraid they have big buisness and big banks and a large brainwashed corporate population in the cities with them who like to see the value of their investments and super increase and another class of city people on welfare who like Rudd. Rural people haven’t really got a voice and we are divided too.
I don’t know how it is all going to pan out over the coming months but the way it is pouring outside we certainly don’t have drought to worry about !!
Why don’t they have an oxygen, or a hydrogen or nitrogen reduction scheme why are they picking on carbon - its crazy.
The world down turn and Americans closing their wallets will cut back on a massive amount of pollution particularly in China. The only problem is there will be also massive unemployment in China - maybe they will move out of the cities and back to the countryside again.
Is the Carbon Reduction Scheme and ETS the same? If so, this is so typical of the Krudd the Dudd Government. I have said all along that the ETS is just another means to slug us with another tax and here is the proof. Should the government press ahead with the ETS regardless I think it will political suicide for them but, they’re pollies and they know everything, just ask the turncoat Peter Garret.
