What a weekend. Even though I did not post a single article yesterday we had 1,079 unique visitors to the site. Thats our biggest weekend ever. Thats on the back of our biggest month ever in September with 10,252 unique visitors last month.
Thanks for your support.
It was NRL grand final day yesterday. Had intended to post last night but was in shock over Manly’s drubbing of the Melbourne Storm.
Manly deserve their victory (though I’m of the Era where is hard to cheer for the ‘Silvertails’) - the largest winning margin in a GF in history - 40 to 0.
Largest Winning margin ever in a NRL GF.
Like Geelong it is sad to see a team that has been the bench mark for the last couple of seasons come up short on the day. But that’s footy. - 2009 - go the Broncos.

This week I will “play the ball, not the man or woman” as we cope with crazy clowns and lying criminals in power , the credit crunch and lack of rain to make a really good wheat crop. There will be a lot of hay made if there isn’t rain this week - the hot weather hit the crops hard. One good thing happening the more the Australian dollar goes down to 70 cents the happier I am.
G’day Von,
Thank you. So the heat and the dry is starting to get at your crop? How long before you start to harvest? Yes it is good news for farmers that the dollar is heading south
Hopefully if we can get something out of this change going through and later in the week the harvest will be in November.
There are a few white heads in very dry spots with nothing in them and the green heads need a drink to fill the seed out.
I hope for many farmers we get a big wheat crop to help with ballooning farm debt.
WE STILL NEED AND WANT FAMILY FARMS
