Back on the 11th of July the CSIRO released its “Fuel for Thought” study predicting that fuel prices could go to $8 a litre ($35.20 per gallon if your an American). This made the daily news headlines across Australia at the time.
“The report bases its worst case scenarios on the assumption the world will reach peak oil within the next five years. Peak oil is when oil production hits its maximum annual rate, then starts to decline and is no longer able to match demand.
If the decline in production was abrupt, petrol would hit $8 a litre by 2018, it says.”
At the time Oil was $147 a barrel. On the CSIRO’s prediction it would soar to $653 a barrel. Mind you the CSIRO was the only ‘reputable’ organization I know of that was predicting a price anywhere near that.
I know its less than a month later but hows the CSIRO’s credibility looking as oil slumps to $118 a barrel and bowser prices are back around $1.40 a litre?

IF AND WHEN THIS IS MASS COMMERCIALISED ENERGY NO NEED FOR POWER STATIONS OR SERVICE STATIONS ..WATER CONVERTS TO GAS THEN ELECTRICITY FROM A FUEL CELL ALL IN THE SIZE OF A SMALL BOX
FREE WATER = FREE ELECTRICITY
FREE WATER = FREE ELECTRICITY = ENERGY FREE
Water Energy System
# Rechargeable without fossil fuels
# No impact from the high prices of gasoline and diesel oil.
# Continuous recharge is possible with the system mounted in the car
# No infrastructure must be established for recharging.
# The system can be used as a mobile power generator in the case of a disaster.
# Can tap water be used as the water supply?
# Basically, any water can be used for power generation. We use pure water, however, to prevent rusting and clogging of mechanical parts.
It is easy to produce pure water from tap water with water purifiers, such as reverse osmosis membranes.
How durable is the system?
The membranes are no less durable than those of hydrogen fuel cells. Although testing of the electrodes is not yet complete, it is likely that they are as durable as the membranes.
For reference, the stacks of an installation-type hydrogen fuel cell system for domestic use are believed to be operable for approximately 40,000 hours.
Do you have any plans to sell the system overseas?
