‘Birdy’s Feral Gyrocopter’

In many parts of outback Australia, huge area’s and distances mean musting cattle, sheep or goats is very difficult. Helicopter mustering is far superior to horse and motorbike, but It’s expensive.
A far more economical alternative is used by many stations. A Gyrocopter. They are little more than flying motorbikes. There are scores of contract musters who use Gyrocopters.
The 1st Video is of ‘Birdy’ Flying the Gyro. The second one is of the same flight but you are in the Gyro with him.
Come for a fly with ‘Birdy’. There’s a camera mounted on the Gyro with him to give you a birds eye view.
Check out the safety boots he’s wearing.

Riding motorbikes and flying planes,you get that same feeling and thrill of speed. I do both and after many years in the bush as a ringer and as a stock agent, I have made a career change and now teach people how to ride motorbikes…great fun! You know if anything major does go wrong….it will be quick and clean!!
Congratulations on the site..the very best there is and will get better.Thanks for selling my paint brands. Put on the site last Sunday at 2.00pm and they were sold by Monday morning 9.00am! Cant do better than that mate…thanks!
