“May The Farm Be with You.”
This is hilarous, one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time.
If you have never seen Star Wars you won’t get it.

That video was hilarious!! I work for a member of State Parliament in Brisbane and really look forward to receiving Agmates every week as an informative and funny publication.

The video was very good, it was funny in it’s own wright, unfortunately it has hit on a sad subject.
I raise beef cattle as naturally as possible, I won’t feed them hormones etc. etc. and it is becoming tough to market my beef because Australians won’t pay that little bit extra. Supermarkets don’t want it, they want the beef that comes from feedlots (the equivalent of battery hens).
In my opinion politicians and supermarkets are laughing at us all the way to the bank.
Terry.
G’day Terry,
You are spot on with your comment. The video itself is extremely clever. But the reality is that consumers are finding it harder & harder to pay extra for hormone / chemical free produce and the food shock only makes it worse.
Fillet steak & prime lame were selling for AUD$50 a kilo in butcher shops in Brisbane this week, Click here to read that article. The butcher freely admits that while he is selling it for $50 a kilo he is paying a wholesaler $6.
Imagine what the wholesaler is paying the poor farmer a kilo?
What a great message this sends out, if only consumers would take note.
